Title: Lighten Up |
"You really think he's..." Murdock couldn't finish. Couldn't say the unimaginable.
"I'm just saying, it looks lighter." Hannibal said.
"Well it's summer, it always lightens up a bit in the summer."
"What the heck you guys talking about?" BA asked turning around in the driver's seat.
"Face's hair," Murdock said, quietly. He leaned forward. "It was getting darker and suddenly it's getting lighter."
"So?" BA said, scowling.
"He's dyeing it." Hannibal said.
"Shh!" Murdock hissed, as if Face could hear them from inside the house.
"So what?" BA said.
"Well I'm not asking him." Murdock said. He looked at Hannibal. "You can."
"You kidding?" Hannibal said. "I said I think he's colouring it, I didn't say I was gonna ask him about it." He grinned. "Maybe I'll get Frankie to ask him. He needs to practice his hand to hand combat skills."
"Shh." Murdock said, "here he comes." Face and Frankie emerged from the house and got into the van.
"Hey guys." Face said.
"Faceman," BA said, nodding in greeting. "Hey I was just
wondering. You start dyeing your hair?"
Face stared at him, mouth open.
"BA!" Murdock said.
"Well, yeah, since you ask." Face glared at BA. "Yeah, I did."
BA nodded, started the van and drove. Hannibal glanced sidelong at him and grinned. You could always trust the big guy to take one for the team.
